What is guided imagery?
It is a process of getting very relaxed so your conscious and unconscious mind accept selected suggestions to help you solve problems, resolve stress and anxiety, so you can live a happier, healthier life. It is very safe and very effective, especially when used as a stress management technique.

Guided-Imagery clients listen to therapist-developed recordings (mp3 or CD) as they go to sleep. A soothing voice guides clients into a comfortably deep state of relaxation and then provides life-enhancing suggestions. After listening or upon awakening, clients feel better and function more effectively. (Usually clients don’t remember much of the program. This is normal, and it does not affect the benefits of Guided Imagery.)
Deep relaxation allows clients to easily absorb positive suggestions and enables clients to quickly overcome emotionally harmful messages in order to function become more effective. Because you can listen to Guided Imagery as you fall asleep, it does not have to take time out of your day.
Repetition enhances the effectiveness of Guided Imagery, so clients are advised to use the recordings several times.
